What is New Land Jazz?

The New Land is a place where Jazz Music is recognized as a vital cultural force, and where advanced musicianship is rewarded.  It is a place where live music is appreciated and new composition is encouraged. 

Our ‘modern’ lives, with ever more activity and the reduction of all our needs to commodities, sometimes cause a dissociation from real people and the creative soul.  We believe that music and art provide a wonderful antidote to the stresses of modern life, bringing us back to ourselves, and our community. The critical element of improvisation is present in all aspects of life, and jazz music brings a freshness that comforts and brings healing to us, and enlarges our view of the dramas of our daily life. 

Stars of Jazz Education and Music Business

New Land Jazz brings the leaders of jazz education into contact with those who are building professional careers in jazz music.  We offer opportunities for musicians and educators to develop themselves as business people as well as artists, through coaching, seminars and our online bookstore, ‘High Octane Jazz Books’. 

The American Experience and Jazz Advocacy

We help bond the community of jazz musicians, educators, fans, and music business professionals through innovative products and services, and shared passion.  We seek to recover our American culture through this music.  Educating the public about the magical experience of live jazz and connecting listeners to the lives of seriously applied musicians of all ages are keys parts of the mission of New Land Jazz.
